Mommy & Me
Ages 8 months-2 yrs. In this 45 minute class the child and parent, grandparent, relative, or special caregiver engage in a variety of music and movement activities together in a fun, upbeat environment. This class provides special bonding time with your child. Everyone will be asked to leave their shoes downstairs prior to class.
Ballet/Creative Dance
Ages 3-4 yrs. In this 45-minute class we focus on the fundamental basics of ballet. Students will learn three of the traditional positions and will work on developing balance and a sense of rhythm. Students will learn movement across the floor and the center. This class is designed to encourage students to have fun while learning. Students will need to wear a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled back away from their face, in a bun if possible. (Tutus and skirts are optional).
Baby Bop Hip Hop
Ages 3-4 yrs. In this 45- minute class we will focus on the fundamental basics of hip hop. Students will learn beginners’ skills like forward rolls, baby freezes, and how to find rhythm in the music. Like the Ballet/Creative Dance, this class will help improve their confidence, and gain control over their growing bodies. Students will wear leggings, sweatpants, or shorts and a shirt. For shoes they will need tennis shoes. Hair needs to be pulled back and out of their face.
Tiny Mix
Ages 5-7 yrs. This is a one-hour class that incorporates intro level jazz and hip hop . Jazz is high energy and fun, and the dancers will most certainly feel this as they learn the basic skills of jazz. They will learn to express themselves freely while having fun. Hip hop is very high energy and a perfect way to work on developing a strong connection to rhythm. Students will need to wear a form fitting shirt, shorts or leggings, and black jazz shoes. Students should have their hair pulled back away from their faces.
Beginners Ballet
In this 45 minute class, students will build upon their foundation of ballet technique. They will continue to develop the qualities of movement that are demonstrated through ballet and will begin to develop as artists. Throughout the semester they will be introduced to more intermediate skills as they continue to develop as dancers. Students will need to wear a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. Their hair should be pulled back from their face to allow uninhibited movement. (skirts or short are optional)
Beginners Jazz
This 45 min. class focuses on jazz technique. Jazz is high energy and fun, and the dancers will most certainly feel this as they learn various styles of jazz ranging from Broadway jazz to modern-day jazz. They will learn to express themselves freely while having fun. Students will need to wear leggings or shorts, form fitting tops, and black jazz shoes. Students’ hair should be pulled back from their face to allow uninhibited movement.
Beginners Hip Hop
In this 45 min. class dancers will focus on hip hop technique. They will builds self confidence and increase cognitive sharpness even at a young age. Dancers will learn how to properly complete hip hop tricks, feet work, and fast movements. They will be given the opportunity to show their personality during freestyling. Students can wear shorts, leggings, or sweat pants with a shirt. The will need tennis shoes and hair pulled out of their faces.
Intermediate Ballet
in this 45 minute class students will build upon ballet technique and skills previously learned as they continue to learn more intermediate level material. Students will learn how to train there body to properly complete the ballet technique at a faster tempo while remaining in control. Students will need to wear any color tights, leotards, and ballet shoes. (skirt or shorts are optional)
Intermediate Jazz
This 45 min. class will focus on developing skills that are more advanced while encouraging artistry and maintaining technique. Leaps and turns will be focused on as they are an important part of the fast-paced style that jazz is. Students will continue to develop a relationship with music as they work on controlling their movement. Students will need to wear leggings or shorts, form fitting tops, and black jazz shoes. Students’ hair should be pulled back from their face to allow uninhibited movement.
Intermediate Hip Hop
In this 45 min. class, students will learn the history behind hip hop while learning new skills. They will be introduced to a variation of styles including street, freestyle, whacking, and locking. Students are free to express their dress style here; however, clothing must be appropriate. Students’ hair should be pulled back from their face. Tennis shoes will be the only foot attire allowed as this helps to protect the students’ joints.
Musical Theatre
This 45-minute class introduces introductory and intermediate level musical theatre movement vocabularies for ages 7 and up. Students will have the opportunity to act, sing, and dance! This class will encourage the students to truly performing and enhance their storytelling skills. Students should come to class with their hair pulled back from their faces, wearing a form-fitting shirt, shorts, or leggings, and jazz shoes.
Contemporary
This is a 1-hour class is for advanced dancers. Middle and high school students ONLY. This class is a fuse of many different styles of dance such as ballet, jazz, modern, and lyrical. Students will spend a great deal of time learning floor work technique, improvisation, and dynamic movements. Students should have hair out of their faces, leggings, loose pants, or shorts with a shirt. We will be dancing barefoot or with socks.
Advanced Jazz
This is a 1- hour class for advanced dancers. It includes strength, flexibility, and conditioning technique with progression into turns, kicks, and leaps. This is an in-depth study of jazz dance technique from its African roots to the fusion styles today. Students will need half soles or jazz shoes, and wear leggings, shorts, and form fitting tops.
Leaps & Turns
This is a 45-minute class of jazz-based technique. This class includes a warmup focused on strength, conditioning, and flexibility, while the remaining of the class is focused on learning new turns, leaps, and jumps. Students will need to wear leggings or shorts, a form fitting top, and jazz or half soles.
Belle Ballet
Belle Ballet, translated to Beautiful Ballet, is 1-hour adult class is a fusion of Barre and Pilates. This is a low intensity, high rep fitness class that focuses on a major muscle group for each day but working your full body everyday. We will be targeting muscles deep inside the body that squats, lunges, and sit-ups don’t typically reach. This class will improve your muscular strength, balance, alignment, and flexibility. You should wear leggings and a form fitting top for this class.
Yamuna Body Rolling
This is an experimental approach to muscle release. Releasing stress, tension, discomfort, or pain. People who hate the idea of exercising but feel they should become more active can enjoy YBR because it is exercise in a non-exercise form. One that combines the relaxing, pleasurable effects of massage, with the toning effect of exercise. You should wear cotton leggings and form fitting shirts. Clothes should not have zippers or metal buttons.
Zumba
In this one hour class, you will leave energized! Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance workout. It combines Latin and international music and dance to create a dynamic calorie- burning form of workout for people of all fitness levels. You will want to wear leggings, shorts, or yoga pants, a shirt, and tennis shoes.
Adult Jazz
In this one- hour class adults ages 18 and up you will leave feeling challenged and inspired. This class includes a warm-up that develops strength, flexibility, coordination, and dance technique specific to jazz dance. This will prepare you for across the floor and center combination. You should wear leggings, yoga pants, form fitting shirts, and jazz shoes.
Adult Ballet
In this one-hour class for adults 18 and up we will focus on exercises, techniques, and steps of classical ballet with an emphasis on terminology and correct body alignment. This class will include a barre and center warm-up with center floor work and combinations. You should wear form fitting closes and ballet shoes.
